The Postal Codes Department is responsible for managing and developing the country's postal code system, ensuring its accuracy and updating. It ensures that interested parties are informed about any changes and monitors the implementation of amendments to the regulatory framework.

The Department produces and maintains metadata for postal codes, ensuring the continuous updating of the relevant authorities. It also plays a crucial role in the preparation and monitoring of the "ZINON" Plan, which concerns the handling of emergencies in the postal services sector, in collaboration with the competent services.

At the same time, the Department contributes to enhancing the security of postal services and monitoring their certification at national, European, and international levels. Finally, it participates in the work of the European Commission for the Digital Single Market, monitoring developments and policies that affect the postal sector.

Through its actions, the Postal Codes Department ensures the smooth operation and modernization of the address system, contributing to the effective service of citizens and businesses.
