Konstantinos Karantzalos, General Secretary of Telecommunications and Post, spoke to Mega on the occasion of Space Week and the presentation of the new Greek space program.
As he mentioned, on October 9, in collaboration with the European Space Agency, the new structure of the program will be presented at the Ministry, with the participation of the Greek and European space ecosystem.
The goal is to fill the gaps in satellite data and information and, at the same time, to further enhance the country's capabilities to develop technology and expertise in Greece, creating opportunities for highly specialized Greek engineers and scientists.
He also made special mention of Adrianos Golemis, the first Greek astronaut candidate, who continues his training intensively, aiming to be at the International Space Station in 2027.
"The goal is to inspire the new generation," emphasized Konstantinos Karantzalos, noting that the effort will also be accompanied by educational programs for all ages.
