Greece Invests in the Digital Future

Access to modern telecommunications services is a right for every citizen and a prerequisite for the balanced development of the country. With this vision in mind, the Greek government is launching the "Space for All" program, a national initiative aimed at using satellite technologies to improve connectivity and quality of life.

The program includes the installation of new satellite base stations and the utilization of European funds to create a modern, secure, and energy-efficient network. Through these infrastructures, citizens and businesses in remote areas will gain access to high-speed internet, telemedicine services, remote education, and "smart community" applications.

One of the most innovative elements of the program is the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) to monitor and optimize the operation of satellite networks. This technology will allow for the prediction of technical issues, energy management, and real-time performance improvement.

At the same time, the government plans to involve Greek universities and startups in the development and maintenance of these systems, boosting local innovation and creating new jobs in high-tech sectors.

Ensuring cybersecurity is also at the core of the strategy. By adopting European-level security standards, the country aims to safeguard critical communication networks and protect the data of citizens and public entities.

According to the Ministry of Digital Governance, "Space for All" is not just a technical project but an investment in human capital and social cohesion. Access to knowledge, health, and communication through satellite technologies forms the foundation for a fairer and more modern Greece.

With this program, our country takes another step towards a digital and inclusive future, where Space technology serves the citizen and unites Greece — from Athens to the most remote island.
