Konstantinos Karantzalos, General Secretary of Telecommunications and Post, participated in BEYOND 2026, in the thematic discussions "Digital Water & Smart Infrastructure" and "Defence Tech & Cybersecurity," presenting the priorities of the Ministry of Digital Governance in the areas of critical infrastructure, connectivity, and digital security.
In his speech, he referred to the importance of the digital modernization of critical infrastructure networks and the initiatives being implemented to enhance the resilience of communication networks and develop a strong national cybersecurity ecosystem. As he emphasized, the goal is to create secure, resilient, and interoperable infrastructures capable of meeting the demands and challenges of the digital age.
At the same time, he highlighted that the development and implementation of national strategies in critical technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, Space, Connectivity, and Autonomous Robotic Systems, create significant prospects for the country. Greek businesses and research institutions already possess significant expertise in these areas and can substantially contribute to the development of solutions that will enhance both public administration and the daily lives of citizens.
The participation of the General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Post in BEYOND 2026 highlighted the importance of collaboration between the public sector, businesses, and the research community as a key prerequisite for a more secure, connected, and resilient digital Greece.
