The General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Post actively participates in international collaborations and strategic initiatives, institutionally representing the country in committees and working groups of ESA, EUSPA, as well as the DG DEFIS of the European Commission, which shape European space policy, secure communications, and Earth Observation.
The General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Post closely collaborates with the Permanent Greek Representation, ensuring Greece's presence and participation in all critical decision-making fora. The General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Post coordinates and chairs the Hellas-Sat committee, where the management of the national government spectrum for covering national needs is decided. It also coordinates the competent PRS and GOVSATCOM committees (Competent PRS and GOVSATCOM Authorities - CPA & CGA) with the aim of covering national needs from the European GOVSATCOM IRIS2 and Galileo programs.
Particular importance is also given to the coordination for the operation of the EU GOVSATCOM Hub in Agios Ioannis, a critical European infrastructure for managing satellite telecommunications resources that enhances the European strategy for secure government satellite communications.
