Participation in European Funding Programs - International Collaborations and Innovation

The General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Post actively participates in European funding and co-funding programs, as part of its strategy for the development of telecommunications infrastructure, the promotion of broadband, the enhancement of cybersecurity, the utilization of space applications, and innovation in the postal services sector. Through these actions, Greece gains access to significant resources, expertise, and collaborations with leading European entities, enhancing competitiveness and accelerating the country's digital transformation.

The participation of GSTP in these projects is carried out in collaboration with relevant departments, as well as with national and European organizations, aiming at the implementation of critical investments and policies that contribute to the creation of a modern and secure digital ecosystem.

Active European Funding Programs:

  • DIEM (Digital Infrastructure for European Microelectronics): Development of digital infrastructure for the microelectronics sector.
  • MEDEWSA (Mediterranean Early Warning System for Security Awareness): Development of an early warning system for cybersecurity threats in the Mediterranean.
  • CARMINE (Cybersecurity and Resilience for Mobile Networks in Europe): Enhancement of cybersecurity and resilience in mobile networks.
  • SEA SPINE (Secure European Autonomous Submarine Infrastructure Network for Europe): Development of secure submarine telecommunications infrastructure.
  • HELLAS QCI (Hellenic Quantum Communication Infrastructure): Installation of quantum communication infrastructure in Greece as part of the European EuroQCI network.
  • EUSOME (European Secure Optical Metro Networks): Creation of secure optical networks for critical communication infrastructure (budget transfer EDYTE S.A.)
  • NOSTRADAMUS: Budget of ΥΨηΔ: €25,000.00 - Funding instrument: DEP-Topic 4-Testing and Evaluation Infrastructure for EuroQCI-CNECT/2023/OP/0032
  • ISOCAAS (Pending inclusion of the project in the Public Investment Program)

Greece's active participation in these programs is part of the overall strategy of the Digital Decade 2030 and strengthens the country's position in the European digital economy, promoting innovation, security, and sustainable development.
