MyCoast - Protection and Management of Coastal Areas

The MyCoast application allows citizens to check if the terms of concession are being followed on beaches and to file complaints in cases of overstepping or unauthorized occupation. Its goal is to ensure free access to the coasts, enhance transparency, and protect the environment.

Through the application, citizens can identify concessions using their device's GPS and view detailed information such as location, duration, and use of the concession. In case of a violation, they have the option to file complaints either anonymously or with their name, by logging in through their personal TaxisNet codes. The complaints are automatically forwarded to the Register of Simple Use Concessions of the Seashore and Beach, so they can be promptly evaluated by the competent authorities. In the next stage, the integration of Artificial Intelligence tools is planned for the automatic legality check of the concessions.

The MyCoast application is part of the overall strategy for establishing transparent electronic beach auction procedures, the establishment of "untouched beaches," the implementation of stricter rules and penalties for violations, as well as the utilization of new technologies for more effective controls by the State.
